Galapagos Islands Adventure
ABOUT THE PROJECT
With its unique wildlife, the Galapagos Islands makes for some beautiful video content. Tony from Sydney had two amazing videos for us to edit, this is the second one, a documentary-style video of the Galapagos Islands.
Galapagos Islands
Tony from Sydney had two amazing videos for us to edit, one of a trek to Machu Picchu in Peru, and this documentary-style video of a 7-day tour of the Galapagos Islands.
Tony’s Galapagos Islands footage makes for some beautiful video content. There’s plenty for the birders with sightings of blue and red footed boobies, the Galapagos eagle, herons and penguins. Tony’s footage also captured seals, reptiles, three different species of iguanas, the stunning Pacific Sunfish, and of course the awesome Giant Tortoises.
We edited Tony’s movie from around three hours of footage, adding in a few changes such as the order of clips and some fine-cutting to improve the story, and we added Tony’s vision of a full custom-designed intro-sequence based on the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. We used the end titles music from the films, ‘He’s a Pirate’ by Klaus Badelt and mimicked the style and graphics of the film intro from ‘Dead Man’s Chest’.

Tony is pretty serious about his videography; he uses a Canon Legria HV40 HD camera, with an external mounted Canon DM-50 directional mic and windsock, which is how he’s getting the crisp sound quality. Tony’s camera records to MiniDV tape so he gets full HD output. The end product looks great, particularly when shot in full light. This clip is a mixture of Tony’s footage with some GoPro footage.
We had a lot of fun editing Tony’s holiday videos, we hope to see more great travel movies in the future. If you’ve been on an epic trip like Tony and would like your videos professionally edited Get In Touch.
